THIS WEEK AT SCRAPNESIA

I made it into the store today. The secondary roads are still a little messy, but the interstates are clear. Our parking lot here is still a little treacherous also. We haven't had a snow storm like this in a while. I still remember snowbound '88. Let's just be glad our counties had their snow equipment this year and the interstates didn't shut down.

I imagine we're all going to be ready to get out for Friday night's crop this week.

The calendar, newsletter and contest for January are online.

Isn't the snow beautiful? You should have seen my crazy cat. She wanted to go outside so bad she ran right outside onto the porch and down the stairs. Not knowing the depth of the snow, she fell down right down the front porch stairs and then ran straight under the car. If I had known how she was going to come in, I would have shot video. Apparently she hated that the snow came all the way to her belly. She climbed the wooden railing of the handrail and climbed the handrail upside-down to the top of the stairs. Later, I watched the neighbor children bury each other in the snow. It's been a very peaceful day. Let's just hope it doesn't stay around as long as it did in 1988.
